Canan Keles is a third-year doctoral researcher in Entrepreneurship at Aalto University School of Business, Finland. Her research examines how physical spaces function as resources for entrepreneurs, with a focus on post-industrial places converted to creative hubs.

Prior to her doctoral studies, Canan worked for over 10 years in business development and strategic planning at Philip Morris International, Luxottica and Mobile Action. She holds an MSc in Marketing from Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey and a BSc in Political Science from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey.

Her current research extends entrepreneurial bricolage theory to include spatial-cultural resources, using Kaapelitehdas (former Nokia cable factory) in Helsinki as a case study. She recently presented her work at RENT 2025 in Twente, the Netherlands.
